A 67 year old father, Abdul Yekin Salawudeen, his son Salawudeen Hammed 27 and one Sarafa Adeyemo 26, on Tuesday arraigned before Osun State Magistrate Court for allegedly stealing a Toyota Hiace Hummer vehicle belonging to the State Ministry of Justice.

The accused were docked on a two-count charge bothering on felony and stealing.

The police prosecutor, Mr Duro Adekunle told the court that the three accused persons committed the offense between 20 and 23rd of July at no 57 church Street, Oke Oke- Onitea in Osogbo.

According to him the accused persons conspired to commit felony to wit:stealing.

''Did steal one Toyota Hiace Hummer Vehicle with Registration number  O5A-O4O5 engine number JTGSX23P4B6109833.valued seven million naira (7,000,000) property of the Osun Ministry of Justice Osun state".

He added that the offense committed by the accused is contrary to and punishable under section 516, section 383(1) and 390(9))10a) of the criminal code cap 34 vol. 11 laws of Osun 2002.

According to the charge sheet: "That you Salawudeen Hammed 27, Sarafa Adeyemo 26, Abudul Yekin Salawudeen 67 and other now at large between 20th to 23rd of July 2017 at about 0600hrs at No. 57 church Street Oke-Onitea Osogbo in the Osogbo magistrateria district  did conspired among yourselves to commit felony to wit : stealing  and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 516 of the criminal code cap volume 11 laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2002.

"That you Salawudeen Hammed, Sarafa Adeyemo, Abdul Yekin Salawudeen and others at large on the same date, time and place  in the aforementioned magistrateria district did steal one Toyota Hiace Hummer vehicle with registration no. 05A-04-05, engine number JTGSX23P4B6109833 valued seven hundred million (7,000,000) property of ministry of justice osun state".

The accused having no legal representation pleaded not guilty to the three count charges preferred against them.

The Magistrate, Mrs Fatimoh Sodamade in her ruling granted them bail of N1 million each with two sureties in like forms.

She thereby adjourned the case to Sep. 25 for hearing.
