It was tragic day in the Federal Polytechnic Offa, has an ND2 student of Mass Communication Department, Oluokun Abisola, with bus conductor meet their death in a bus fire accident along Ilorin-Ajase road.
The incident which happened today, Wednesday 7th of February, 2018 has School management matriculating the new intakes to the institution.
An eyewitness told NIGERIA HAPPENINGS that the 18 passengers bus was overloaded and crashed with another bus, tumbled almost 3 times non stop before it later halt and burned into hashes.
NIGERIA HAPPENINGS source in the school gathered that another student in the same level of the deceased Fadairo Ayomide, were together involved the fatal accident.
One of the passenger told the medium that, “after the car was hit by an incoming vehicle it stumbled due to the overload of the vehicle.
He added that a keg of petrol was inside the vehicle and got explode before they can rescue the deceased and entire vehicle was razed with fire.
He further disclosed that the victim made a call and told that she was covered with fire till death took her away.
All the rest passengers were rushed to an hospital at Ajase before they were transferred to General Hospital Offa and later moved them with school ambulance to General Hospital Ilorin
