A governorship aspirant on the platform of the ruling-All Progressives Congress (APC) and current Secretary to the Government of the State of Osun, Alhaji Moshood Olalekan Adeoti had expressed his gratitude to all members and supporters of the party for their warm reception accorded him and members of his entourage during his just-concluded consultative tour across the state.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the Director of Media and Publicity of Moshood Adeoti Campaign Organization (MACO), Mr Kayode Agbaje in Osogbo, the state capital and made available to journalists.
According to him, Alhaji Adeoti was eternally grateful to all the residents and supporters of his aspiration, which cut across party lines, for their show of affection during his consultative tour across the state.
"I am indeed overwhelmed by your show of love and support for my aspiration as evident in your the warm reception accorded me and members of my team during our visits to the various council areas.
"With this, I assure you that once victory is secured, you shall not take the back seat in the administration," Alhaji Adeoti promised.
The governorship hopeful further admonished his supporters and the delegates to continue to abide by all the party rules and regulations surrounding peaceful coexistence during and after the governorship primaries.
"I want to charge all our supporters on the need to remain peaceful and be law-abiding throughout the conduct of the governorship primaries," he stressed.
Speaking further, he admonished all adults of voting age in the state to go to the nearest Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to either collect their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) if they have registered before and have not not been issued their PVCs or get registered afresh if they are just getting to the voting age.
He further stated that was the only way they can participate in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
