All Progress Congress primary election has been concluded in the three hundred and thirty-two wards in Osun state and results of the exercise are being declared at the party’s state secretariat in Osogbo.
So far, 9 local government have been declared and the Chief of Staff to Osun state governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, won in 8 of them.
Across the state, there was late arrival of materials and officials of the party.
The voting started behind scheduled in most of the wards visited in Boripe and Ifelodun local government area of the state reports that APC members trooped out in their large numbers while security agents were on ground to maintain law and order.
Reports indicate that members conducted themselves in an orderly manner.
Returning officers to the local government areas already declared presented result of their area of coverage openly to the chairman of the APC electoral panel, Governor Abdulazeez Yari of Zamfara state.
The exercise is going on under the supervision of Governors of Oyo state, Senator Abiola Ajumobi, the host governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola and the Deputy National Chairman of the APC, Otunba Niyi Adebayo.
