The timely arrival of the aspirant, House of representatives Oriade/Obokun federal constituency under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Pharm. 'Siji Olamiju (AKOL) at the scene of an auto-accident opposite Ijebu-jesa high school saved the lives of five people on Wednesday as he ordered two vehicles in his convoy to convey the wounded to Frontline Hospital for treatment.
Pharm. Olamiju who was on a consultation tour around 1.40 p.m. from the Grand Imam of Oriade local government's house to his home town, Esa-Oke when he met the victims in the wreckage and rescued them in an operation that lasted for over an hour.
The accident involved a brand new blue-coloured Golf-5 car with registration number ADK-74DJ collided with a motorcycle while trying of avoid another NURTW car which skidded off the road.
The NURTW car, it was learned, left it lane to collid with the car and motocycle. On hand to rescue the victims was Pharm. Olamiju, whose convoy had arrived at the scene of the accident, alighted from his vehicle to join in the rescue efforts.
The wounded victims were immediately conveyed to the hospital in one of his branded campaign vehicle.
At the hospital, Olamiju took over the treatment of the victims himself due to non availability of doctors. He did not leave until after the victims had been given adequate treatments. He also paid for their hospital bills so that they can receive more treatments.
