Osun state chapter of National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicines has on Wednesday denied endorsing any of the candidates vying for Senatorial, House of Representatives and Osun House of Assembly seats.
The association said this in a press statement released by its Public Relation Officer, Dr Lukman Hussein, that, we have never receives or visits any of the candidates vying for seats in 2019 general election.
The State Chairman of the association, Dr Kamorudeen Olorunayo, in his own reaction, said, "Truly, we have many of our members who are politically active but we have never endorsed and will not endorse any candidate for the forthcoming election.
The association was not established to meet members political ambition but for the benefits fostering a cordial relationship among Traditional Medicine Practitioners as well as taking traditional medicines to a greater height.
Therefore, I am urging all the members of the association to vote for the candidates of their choice".
Also the state PRO, stated that the decision of the association not to support any candidate in the February 16 and March 2nd election should not be misconstrued to mean that the leadership of the association has a grudge with any of the candidate or the party.
He added that the association would be ready to work with any candidate who emerged afterwards for the promotion of traditional medicine in the state and beyond.
Lukman urged the entire members of the association to turnout en mass on the election day to vote the leaders of their choice.
