Nigerians have stormed social media to express their disagreement with a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and National Union of Road Transportation Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, better known as MC Oluomo, who said members of the union can be compared to lawyers, engineers and doctors in terms of professionalism.
GTNews reports that MC Oluomo, who said NURTW officials are not thugs and should not be treated with disdain by Nigerians, generated over 1,300 Twitter comments as at the time of this report.
“For your information, NURTW is a profession just like law, engineering and medicine. We are not thugs but we are professionals,” he tweeted.
The comment has drew wide condemnation among Nigerians. Below are some of what the people saying on Twitter:
