The All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate for Osun State House of Assembly, Ayedire State Constituency, Hon Gbenga Ogunkanmi has urged the people of the constituency to come out en masse and cast their votes for him in the coming Saturday State Assembly election.
Ogunkanmi made the plea while playing host to some youths in the constituency who came on a solidarity visit at his residence in Ileogbo, the headquarters of Ayedire local government Area, on Wednesday.
The former Executive Secretary, who was so exited by the large number of the youth who came to endorse his candidature said , “Ayedire constituency is a fantastic one and it is my dream to make it more better by adequately representing the diverse interests of the people”.
He further said that for the people of Ayedire to continue to enjoy the dividend of democracy they must come out massively and cast their votes for APC.
He insisted that APC remains the only party that can consistently be responsive to the yearnings of the people, saying that the party has not failed its supporters at all levels of government despite array of challenges .
“I was once an Executive Secretary of Ayedire Local government and every community in this wealthy Constituency is important, from the biggest to the smallest. Hence, I will work hard to deliver the dividends of democracy to every constituent.
“I will embark on projects that make life more comfortable for my people, the projects such as health and education based projects. I will also be involved in organizing entrepreneurial training for our youths, which I believe will help reduce the rate of unemployment in the constituency.
“My desire to contest as a Member of Ayedire state of Assembly is born out of my conviction that I am well equipped adequately to represent the people of Ayedire constituency at the state assembly because if the passion I have for my people.
“I will adequately represent the interest of my people at the State Assembly in the areas of law making, lobbying, constituency projects, oversight functions and in other areas.
“I will run an open door representative that will afford me to listen to people’s problem and concerns, and will advocate for a way to assist.
“I will be open, transparent and listen to the concerns of the people and ensure evidence based infrastructures. These are why I am contesting to represent the people of Ayedire State House of Assembly on the platform of our great party APC and I’m very optimistic that I will emerge victorious by the grace of God, through the support of our party leaders, stakeholders, party members and the support of youth, students, market men and women.
“I will consolidate on the legacies left behind by the governor whom he has done tremendously well in the area of infrastructure and human capacity, which the incumbent Governor, Gboyega Oyetola is building upon, promising to sponsor bills that would facilitate development in the constituency.
It is in view of the foregoing that I strongly solicit for the opportunity to represent my people. Together we can achieve greatness. A vote for me is a vote for development, a vote for me is a vote for hope, fairness, equal opportunity and justice,” he said.
