Sequel to the resounding success recorded in the just concluded State House of Assembly's elections by the Peoples' Democratic Party, PDP in Ede South State Constituency of Osun State, the lawmaker-elect for the area, Hon Stephen Olaniran Akanfe Atidade has said that, it has become imperative for him to give Glory to Almighty God as well as the teeming electorates for the goodwill he received from them which culminating in his resounding victory at the polls.
According to Hon Atidade while fielding questions from Journalists at Ede on Thursday, he commended the way and manner men, women and youths came out en masse to cast their votes for him which he describes as a testimony of the unwavering commitment of the people of the Ede South State Constituency to be liberated completely.
Hon Atidade who was highly elated said he has dedicated his victory to God, his father, Elder Sunday Akanfe Atidade, Alhaji Isiaka Adeleke, Senator Ademola Adeleke, Dr Deji Adeleke, Dr BT Salam, the Timi of Ede land, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Laminisa 1 among other leaders and entire people of the Constituency.
While assuring the teeming people of his Constituency of not letting them down, Hon Atidade said, his party, PDP will continue to fight for the betterment and upliftment of the people in the area.
According to him, "Serving people is not new to me, it is already in me, I have been doing it even before I was picked as the party's House of Assembly's Candidate for the Constituency and I will not relent.
My father has also done it when he was the Chairman Ede South Local Government area of the state, so, what is stopping me from pursuing the development of my people as well" He added.
Hon Atidade however enjoined people not to forment trouble, saying they should be law abiding and prayerful.
