As this year annual Idel-Kabir festival hold on Sunday, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Osun State Command has put in place necessary security arrangement by deploying one thousand, six hundred (1,600) personnel to ensure a violent free and blissful celebration throughout the State.
This was disclosed by the new Commandant of the Command, Alhaji Oguntuwase Adeyinka Kingsley in a Press Statement issued on Friday by the Command Public Relations Officer, PRO, DSC Babawale Afolabi and made available to newsmen in Osogbo the state capital.
According to the statement, the new state Commandant, who hail from kogi state and one time Commandant for Housing, NSCDC NHQ, enjoined the general public to be vigilant and report any suspicious movements to the nearest office of the Corps.
"Citizens should avoid unnecessary night movement and be time conscious whenever there is need to move round to avoid any unprecedented event.
" Officers and men have been deployed to man government infrastructure, sites and projects to avoid any form of vandalism while the public is also encouraged not to aid and abate the activities of unscrupulous elements around them" the statement advised.

Meanwhile, the new Commandant, who resumed office on the 8th of August, therefore allays the fear of the public and wishes the governor of the state, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola and Muslim adherents happy Sallah /Eid-Mubarak.
