The Former Deputy Speaker in Osun State, Hon Akintunde Adegboye on Friday donated food, needs and money to orphanage homes in Osogbo to mark his 60th birthday.
The Ex-lawmaker, with his family, celebrated the Diamond anniversary with orphans and presented gifts to the Abiye and FOMWAN orphanage homes.
Speaking, Adegboye called on privileged people in society to spend their money in helping indigents.
He disclosed that he celebrating the birthday with the needy to appreciate what God has done to him.
The Ex-lawmaker said, as a politician who has served for years in the State parliament, giving back to that society who supported and gave him mandate is what paramount to him.
He said orphanage home is where people who can feed theirself, suppose to have been patronizing even without celebrating anything.
In his word, “I am urging those who are privileged to expand their spending by giving to the needy and especially motherless or orphans.
“They have life and to leave that life, people must support them to help becoming better in society. And I will continue to be helping them with anything in my capacity.”
Earlier, Adegboye with the former Speaker in the State, Hon Najeem Salam performed their Juma’t prayer at the Central mosque in Osogbo for the thanksgiving.
In his sermon, the Chief Imam of Osogbo, Musa Animashaun address Adegboye has a patriotic Osogbo son.
Among those who accompany the ex-lawmaker for the thanksgiving are, Ex-lawmaker, Oluolale Bello; Hon. Debo Akanbi; Adegoke Musa.
