The Hunters Association of Nigeria, HAN, Osun state chapter on Monday called on the people of the state to demonstrate their unflinching support to the state government in curbing the insecurity menace in the state.

The state Commandant of the Association, Chief Hammed Nureni Soladoye made the call while speaking with journalists in his office.

According to him, the job of security is a job of everybody and all hands must be on deck to have a society devoid of criminal act.

Soladoye who noted that, the association under his watch with members across the state is working assiduously with other security agencies to have zero tolerance for criminal activities in the state also said, Hunters Association is the only local security outfit that knows the nooks and crannies of the state when it comes to chasing out criminals.

He called for the assistance of the government in the area of mobility saying, lack of enough vehicles and other mobility devices do hinder their operations in their bid to eradicate criminal menace out of the state.

The Commandant, who informed that his men were battle ready to attack any hoodlums at any point in time warns any criminals groups to stay away of Osun State while commended the state governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola for his efforts towards protection of life and property in the state.

Speaking on the recently launched "Operation Amotekun" Soladoye said, the governors of the Southwestern region deserved accolades for the brilliant idea, adding that, the operation if properly managed will flush out criminal activities completely in the region.

He said, the Hunters in the state are ready to collaborate with other security operatives to ensure huge success of operation Amotekun.

He however called on the citizens of the state to alert the nearest security agencies in their area whenever they noticed any strange things capable of truncating the peace in the state.
