State of Osun House of Assembly has suspended all parliament activities,sessions and hearing for the next 16 days.
According to chairman house committee on Information Hon Kunle Akande the leadership and members of the 7th assembly agreed that it will be difficult to maintain the World Health Organization (WHO) social distancing standard in a populated work environment as the assembly.
He also recalled that governor Adegboyega Oyetola had on Friday ordered the closure of all public gatherings including churches, mosques and schools to avoid the spread of Corona virus.
Hon Akande noted that in line with recent statistics released by NCDC about 36 Individuals are presently battling with the deadly Corona virus.
He therefore, called on residents and dwellers of the state to observe all precautions of regular hand washing,use of hand sanitizer, observing social distance and avoiding large gatherings.
Hon Akande, however, charged governor Adegboyega Oyetola to strengthen it's resolve in combating this menace and activate necessary emergency public health protocols.
