Two yet-to-be identified siblings were struck dead by the thunder lightning that accompanied heavy downpour on Sunday in Ikirun, Ifelodun local government area of Osun State.
Our Reporter gathered that the incident happened at Orisa-Elejin area of the town. They were aged 14 and 16 years.
It was gathered that the two siblings stole someone’s wallet which was found on the younger one.
According to a resident of the area who spoke with Our Correspondent on condition of anonymity, the was a certain amount of money in the wallet when it was stolen.
“They are siblings who stole wallet (igbanu) few days ago and the owner promised to deal with whoever steals her wallet. The lightning killed the two of them this evening. The stolen wallet was seen on the younger one.”
