A governorship aspirant on the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Omooba Dotun Babayemi had commiserated with residents and indigenes of Oluponna in Ayedire Local Government Council Area of Osun State on the demise of their traditional ruler, Oba Emmanuel Onaolapo Oyebanji, Fadare II.
This was contained in a condolence statement issued by his media team and made available to GTNews.
Omooba Babayemi enjoined Oluponna residents and indigenes to take solace in the fact that the late monarch lived a fulfilled life.
"Though it is natural to feel bad after losing a dear one, but we are consoled by the fact that Oba Oyebanji lived his life for all his subjects and and poured his all for the development of his community," Babayemi stressed.
He however opined that as a mark of honour for the soul of the departed monarch, all hands must be on deck to uphold all the ideals that the late monarch stood for while alive.
Omooba Babayemi, while praying for the repose of the soul of Oba Emmanuel Onaolapo Oyebanji, admonished family members to unite together as that remains the only way to ensure the monarch's legacies.
While eulogising all the good virtues of the departed monarch, the governorship hopeful stressed that the late Olupo left the scene at a time when his wise counsel is most needed.
"The Late Oba Oyebanji was passionate about the development of his community and left the scene when his wise counsel is most needed," he stated further.
