The Special Adviser to the Osun State Governor on Environment and Sanitation, Hon Babatunde Adeniyi Balogun, has felicitated with the State Governor, Senator Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke on the occasion of his first year in office.
The Special Adviser, in his Congratulatory Message to the Governor and made available to newsmen in Osogbo the capital of Osun State, remarked that Governor Adeleke had redefined governance in the last one year.
The statement said Governor Adeleke had shown a rare commitment and sincerity to the welfare of entire workers in the State, adding that this had helped in slowing down the pace of brain drain in Osun.
Hon Balogun said that, "efforts of Governor Adeleke's led administration in protecting the environment and quality of life of residents of the state cannot be over emphasised.
"The Osun State Government, under it's current leadership, is keen about environmental protection, hence the need for the revamped environmental watch dog to keep up with developments in the sector and restore sanity to the state's environment, particularly at this crucial time, when all hands must be on deck to collectively mitigate the effect of climate change on human health and the environment.
“I wish to congratulate you Sir, on your first year Anniversary as the Governor of Osun State.
“Without any iota of doubt, you have redefined the word governance in our dear State. Your achievements are visible in all sectors across the State.
“Your style of governance which is characterized by humility, astute administration of resources, and penchant for accountability has restored the hope of Osun residents in government.
“We are assured that your committed approach will continue to bring us to the desired place.
"Judging by the events of this first year in office, we are convinced that Osun is in safe hands and no matter the challenges ahead, we will overcome.
“Accept the assurances of our best regards and congratulations again,” Hon Balogun stated.
