Africa Church Grammar School playing ground Ilesa was beehive of activities as member representing Ilesa West State Constituency Honourable Wale Akerele doled out empowerment tools and cash gift to his constituents.
The exercise which had in attendance, speaker Osun State House of Assembly Right Honourable Adewale Egbedun,PDP chairman, Hon Sunday Bisi,members of the state parliament among whom were the majority leader Hon Babajide Kofoworola,Honourables Sanmi Areoye,Diran Olatunbosun,Kanmi Ajibola and Adeyemi Adewumi as well as their wives, just like commissioner for Local Government and chieftaincy affairs Honourable Dosu Babatunde and his health counterpart Jola Akintola.
The Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly,Right Honourable Adewale Egbedun on Friday says the series of empowerment programmes undertaken by the members of the state parliament align with Governor Ademola Adeleke's human growth and development initiatives.
Right Honourable Adewale Egbedun made this statement in Ilesa while speaking at the massive empowerment programme organized by the state parliament's Chief Whip, Hon. Wale Akerele.
Right honourable Adewale Egbedun noted that the empowerment programme was a result of Hon. Akerele's passion,empathy and unwavering commitment to human development.
He commended Hon.Akerele for the mind-blowing empowerment tools provided and encouraged his constituents to continue praying for him.
In his remarks, the State People's Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi, commended the 8th Assembly led by Right Honourable Adewale Egbedun. Hon. Bisi praised Hon. Wale Akerele for setting a monumental precedent with the empowerment programme,which demonstrated his commitment to the people.
At the occasion, the State SUBEB Chairman, Hon. Ibukun Fadipe, also commended Hon. Akerele for proving his desire and aspiration for the people of Ilesa West State Constituency through the empowerment exercise.
Earlier, Hon. Wale Akerele, the initiator of the over 5,000 empowerment programmes and member representing Ilesa West State Constituency, stated that the motive behind the initiatives aligned with Governor Ademola Adeleke's human development and growth ideologies and goals.
He highlighted his representation's achievements within a short period, including free medical services, classroom renovations,educational support,social interventions among others to mention but few.
Hon. Akerele explained that the distributed empowerment tools, such as motorcycles, sewing machines, deep freezers, generators, spraying machines, grinding machines and Cash gifts for small medium scale enterprises aimed to support petty traders, artisans, and other categories of people, providing access to cash and working tools.
The highlight of the occasion was the presentation of the distributed empowerment tools.
