Darasimi, the estranged wife of popular comedian Ganiu Morufu, also known as Ijoba Lande, has finally addressed the infidelity allegations leveled against her.
In an interview with socialite Esabod and other TikTok personalities on Sunday, Darasimi refuted claims that she cheated on her husband. She clarified that her only interaction with Yoruba Nollywood actor Babatunde Tayo (Baba Tee) was during a "Truth or Dare" game initiated by her friend, Marygold, where she sat on his lap but did not engage in any sexual activity.
Ijoba Lande had earlier alleged in a viral interview that Darasimi left him due to her involvement with multiple men in the entertainment industry. He specifically mentioned Baba Tee as one of them. However, Darasimi insisted that infidelity was not the reason for their separation.
Recalling the events, she explained, “The first time I met Baba Tee was in July last year when Marygold invited me to his house. She wanted to invite him to her movie launch. Baba Tee didn’t even know I was Lande’s wife at first. While we were there, Marygold suggested we play ‘Truth or Dare.’ I was reluctant, but she encouraged me. At some point, Marygold engaged in an intimate act with Baba Tee while I had already consumed multiple shots of alcohol. When Marygold dared Baba Tee to get intimate with me, I refused. I only sat on his lap, and we did nothing more.”
She challenged her estranged husband to provide evidence of her alleged affairs, emphasizing that their marriage did not end because of infidelity.
Meanwhile, Baba Tee has admitted to a brief sexual encounter with Darasimi during the game, claiming he was intoxicated at the time. The 45-year-old actor also issued a public apology to Ijoba Lande on his official Facebook page, saying, “I am deeply sorry, brother Lande. I never knew Dara was your wife. Hmmm… I fear women.”
