An Industrialist and Philanthropist, Hon. Lekan Olotu Oba has condemned the recent attack of a Police Station at Ipele Divisional Police Station in Ipele, Owo in Ondo State as an act of evil perpetrated by the enemies of the state.
In a statement he personally signed and released from his media office, Olotu Oba said the incident call for concerns of every well meaning sons and daughters of Owo kingdom particularly and Ondo State generally as this is not the first time our people would be attacked unprovoked.
Olotu Oba said, "The attacked on a Police Staion is a strategy by the enemies of the state to dampen the resilience of our people and to send a message of hopelessness to the general public, but their efforts are in futility as our people remain strong and ready to support the Federal Government's efforts to get the nations rid of terrorists ".
While Olotu noted that the attacker's plan was to disrupt the peace and the festival period of Ipele people, yet the people stood their ground, and it has been a memorable festive period.
He however commiserate with the Government of Ondo State, the Traditional rulers of Owo kingdom, the Olupele of Ipele, the people of Ipele, and the Nigeria Police, saying he stand with them in their time of grief.
Olotu Lekan Oba will always stand with the people of Ipele and Owo in general, and this time won't be an exception. I sincerely sympathise with our people, and I pray for quick recovery of the injured officers, " the statement concluded.
