The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has pledged to mobilise one million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
The commitment was made at an expanded stakeholders’ meeting held after the conclusion of the 2026 Osun State Governorship Election, where party leaders reviewed the election outcome and discussed plans for the 2027 general elections.
The stakeholders resolved to intensify mobilisation across the state and work towards delivering one million votes to President Tinubu.
At the meeting, the APC stakeholders also passed a vote of confidence in the leadership of former Osun State Governor and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Dr Adegboyega Oyetola.
The vote of confidence was moved by a former member of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Kamil Oyedele, and seconded by Hon. Oyetunji Agunbiade.
It was subsequently supported by the stakeholders.
Speaking at the meeting, the APC candidate in the 2026 Osun governorship election, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, called on members to put the outcome of the election behind them and focus on rebuilding the party.
He urged party leaders and members to embrace peace, reconciliation and unity, stressing that resolving internal differences would be crucial to the party’s chances in the 2027 elections.
Oyetola, in his remarks, expressed confidence that the APC could regain its strength in Osun State. He acknowledged the challenges facing the party and called for reconciliation with aggrieved members.
The former governor urged APC members to embrace forgiveness and dialogue, saying the party must remain united if it is to achieve its electoral objectives in 2027.
The meeting ended with a renewed commitment by the stakeholders to rebuild the party from the grassroots, strengthen its structures and mobilise support for President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
